Extra Print is a young company, founded in 1996, which currently has a workforce of 38 people.
For small format work, it covers the entire commercial printing spectrum, including business cards, business stationery, calendars, posters and brochures.
Most jobs are two-colour and have an average run of just under 30,000, though some jobs are as small as 5,000 sheets, whilst others extend up to 400,000.
The company has regular customers in 80 Russian towns and cities, including Russia's largest mobile communications operator.
It also has customers abroad, including companies in the former Yugoslavia.
Mikhail Malanov, the chief executive officer at Extra Print, said: "The Printmaster QM 46 is the ideal press for our job structure.
The productivity we can achieve and the compact, stable construction of the presses are unbeatable." There are days when the press produces 150,000 to 180,000 sheets in 24 hours.
Service is particularly important when producing in such large volumes and Malanov said he is pleased with the speed and quality of service he receives from Heidelberg and spare parts are always supplied quickly.
Customers' growing expectations in terms of four-color printing will be catered for by a Printmaster GTO 52-4 press that is due to be installed soon.
The press has earned itself a reputation as a highly reliable 'workhorse' in Russia, as it provides numerous small printshops with an inexpensive and reliable gateway into high-quality four-colour printing, said Heidelberg.
The Printmaster QM 46 single-colour and two-colour presses are highly automated, making them suitable for small-format offset production.
The machine's claimed maximum printing speed is 10,000 sheets per hour and its short make-ready times are said to ensure quick turn-arounds.
Over 10,000 Printmaster QM 46-1 and QM 46-2 presses worldwide.
