Heidelberg's Prinect Integration System, which is on show at Ipex 2006, is claimed to enable centralised data management in a printshop using JDF (Job Definition Format).
That allows all production processes in job management, pre-press, press and post-press to be fully integrated in a workflow management system, said the company.
The Prinect Pressroom Manager is said to be the world's first entirely JDF-based pressroom system capable of controlling and managing all of the data required in print production.
That automates and enhances key areas of the workflow, according to Heidelberg.
