At Ipex 2006, Heidelberg's automated Eurobind 4000 is on show.

Eurobind 4000 is claimed to produce up to 4,000 books an hour.

The roller and nozzle systems for processing polyurethane or hot-melt adhesives are said to be easy to change, providing maximum flexibility.

The polyurethane technology is also said to allow straight-forward and cost-effective production of high-quality brochures and books.

The modular structure of the Eurobind 4000 also means that it can be tailored to a customer's exact requirements, said the company.

Precise spine preparation and a consistently high level of glue application are claimed to ensure a quality end product and the Eurobind 4000 can be integrated in to the Prinect workflow system.
