Bernd Schopp, head of the PMA, said: "As the region's leading economic centre and a hub of the communications and business world, Dubai offers the perfect setting for the winter university." Dubai is easily accessed from Asian, Arab, and African states, he added.
The venue will give participants from Europe and north and south America an insight in to a different market.
The first winter University in 2004 was also held in Dubai, followed by Brazil and Malaysia.
Alongside the business management topics, such as marketing and costing, speakers at the winter university will also provide knowledge on printing technology.
"As well as offering specialist know-how, the key aims of the winter university are making national and international contacts and finding out about trends in management and technology.
Participants have the opportunity to discuss specific topics from their working environments with like-minded individuals," said Schopp.
During the seminar, specific tasks will be used to analyse issues and develop practical solutions in small workgroups.
The week of seminars is supported by the Dubai-based International Media Production Zone and the Dubai Knowledge Village, added Heidelberg.
Speakers include Sue Pandit, head of the school of printing and publishing at the London College of Communication, Karl Kowalczyk, head of the print media centre in Heidelberg, and Greg Grace, in charge of product marketing at Heidelberg Australia.
The venue is the Radisson SAS Hotel in Dubai.
Registrations can be made until November 15.
The seminar fee is EUR2,700 plus VAT, which includes four nights of accommodation.
