Print 'University' Discusses Management

Cape Town (South Africa) will be the host city for the eighth Summer University to be staged by German press manufacturer Heidelberg to be aimed at printing industry management.
To be staged from November 11 - 15 the event will feature speakers who will present what Heidelberg described as innovative market approaches, whilst explaining new methods of management to increase productivity and highlighting ways to optimise the production workflow Lectures and discussions will cover issues of finance, controlling, quality assurance, colour management and the offset printing process standard, whilst participants will be given the opportunity to discuss their own practical experiences

The event will be held in English and the number of participants will be limited to 25 people at the SAS Hotel Waterfront.
Bernd Schopp, Heidelberg's head of the print media academy, said: "In view of today's market dynamics, it is essential that managers in the print media industry keep themselves up to date with the latest industry developments and business strategies.
That is why the four-day seminar programme focuses on production technology and business management issues." Heidelberg said that the Summer University has established itself as an international forum for the industry.
The event gives participants from different countries the opportunity to talk informally about their experiences and to make personal contacts.
