Heidelberg said that the Print Media Academy is the hub of a global network that covers 18 locations in 15 countries.

All sites communicate on a regular basis and share information on the latest trends in the print media industry.
In 2007, the Print Media Academy opened its Educ@te Centre in Eppelheim near Heidelberg (Germany).
With 140 approved trainers the 8,500 square metre training centre is claimed to be unique in the printing industry and provides a place for Heidelberg to hold its product training courses.
Each year, 17,000 participants attend training courses held by the Print Media Academy network.
Bernd Schopp, the head of the Print Media Academy, explained: "The print media industry is in a constant state of flux.
We must play an active role in shaping and coping with these changes.
Professional training activities provide the necessary support.
Just as machines need regular maintenance and software requires upgrades, so managers and employees must be given continuing training.
Education is becoming an increasingly important factor for print shops as they strive to offer their customers top quality and services.".
