With the estimate, an accurate production plan is automatically generated that visualises the entire production sequence.
The relevant job data is transferred in to the Hiflex planning system where the job is automatically scheduled, observing all dependencies between the different processes." And Lea Kimber explained: "The Hiflex system really manages the job related communication processes efficiently and greatly improves order management." In the automated workflow the Hiflex MIS such functions as the JDF Controller manages and controls the joint usage of all data relevant to production.
Iloprint plans to implement JDF-connectivity between the Hiflex MIS, the Screen Trueflow PDF workflow management system and the printing presses from MAN Roland and Heidelberg.
Rain Kaarma said: "JDF-connectivity, as we have experienced it in action at Hiflex reference implementations, enhances transparency and flexibility throughout production.
This provides the basis for getting more out of valuable machines and systems." Stefan Reichhart expanded further: "The practical and economic benefits of JDF installations have been proven by award winning Hiflex users.
In the international CIP4 Innovation Award 2005 and 2006 Hiflex users were awarded four out of six awards and achieved second places in the remaining." Since its establishment in 1993, AS Iloprint has grown and its team now comprises 80 employees.
