The UK's largest independent print and direct mail company, Howard Hunt Group is set to be the first UK print and mail company to install the Kodak Nexpress 2500 digital press.

The UK's largest independent print and direct mail company, Howard Hunt Group is set to be the first UK print and mail company to install the Kodak Nexpress 2500 digital press.

With the technology Howard Hunt Group believes it will lead the way in data-led digital printing services and that it will also be equipped to take the personalisation of direct mail to a new level.

The company said it will achieve that by enabling clients to further utilise data analysis and print personalisation to achieve highly detailed and personalised direct mail content.

The Kodak Nexpress has the capabilities to make it possible for clients to use the power of digital print to personalise every aspect of each piece of direct mail that is sent out from text content through to page design and imagery, added the company.

Lucy Edwards, marketing director at Howard Hunt Group, commented: "The concept of one-to-one marketing is still largely regarded an aspiration rather than a tangible reality.

But the Kodak Nexpress 2500 enables us to make this a reality for our clients.

Our decision to increase the portfolio of services we offer is based on the capabilities of digital presses that are now on the market.

Our confidence in the tools that exist will allow us to provide this technology to our clients so that they achieve their personalisation aspirations within their budgetary requirements." The 2500 forms the first phase of Howard Hunt Group's digital investment plan.

In addition to the Kodak Nexpress2500, the recently launched Kodak Nexpress 2100 Plus press has also been bought.

That model, with the upgrade, provides performance levels on a par with the 2500.

Both models enable modularity and flexibility and are 18 per cent faster than a standard Nexpress 2100.

The installation of digital presses will be rolled out over the next month.

The 2100 press will be installed at the beginning of April followed by the 2500.

The Kodak Nexpress 2500 will be launched on April 4 at Ipex and following the show, the machine will then be installed at the Howard Hunt site in Dartford.
