Direct Mail Firm Upgrades Enveloping Systems

Two BB700 envelope inserting systems worth GBP300,000 have been ordered from Buhrs by the Howard Hunt Group, the UK marketing communications services company.

The BB700s are said to allow for a product range from B4 to DL, whilst operating at claimed speeds of 14,000 items per hour.

The new BB700s will replace three Buhrs BB300s and the move is part of Howard Hunt's programme of continual improvement to factory efficiencies, said the company.

It is claimed that the new machines will provide twice as many items per hour for the additional capacity needed to meet the expanding needs of the group.

Paul Kemp, operations manager at Howard Hunt Group, commented: "We particularly liked the upgrade path offered by the BB700s, which will allow us additional business flexibility should we take on trans-promotional work, for instance, in the future." He continued to explain: "Having worked with Buhrs for the past eight years we feel we can trust the company and its products.

We were looking for a system that was as flexible as the BB300s but with more efficiencies in terms of speed and throughput and the BB700 is the clearly the answer.

Buhrs lines work out of the box and are popular with operators and engineers alike as they're so easy to set up and run reliably." The two new BB700s will be delivered in May.
