Paper Firm Plants Trees As Part Of Enviro Campaign

A The Howard Smith Paper Group product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 10, 2007

Fifty trees have been planted by Howard Smith Paper in the grounds of its Northampton (UK) head office, with all the company's staff involved.

Employees took to the grounds, armed with picks and shovels and with some even in high heels to complete their planting task.

Speaking at the event, Howard Smith Paper Group's marketing manager, Martin Webster, praised the initiative, which marked the occasion in an environmentally friendly way.

He said: "This is only a small gesture.

Everyone has their part to play in reducing the negative effects on the environment and hopefully by planting these 50 trees, we are demonstrating what we can do." The company believes that the result will not only be an aesthetic one but it will also be 50 more trees that will encourage local wildlife to the area, provide oxygen, moderate the climate and help to reduce carbon emissions.
