A The Howard Smith Paper Group product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 19, 2007

Accreditation to Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) has been awarded to The Howard Smith Paper Group.

The company has now achieved accreditation to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and PEFC certification systems, enabling it to offer products that are certified under one or both of the certification systems.

Howard Smith Paper attained FSC and Chain of Custody accreditation in October 2006.

The company is also ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited.

The group's marketing and purchasing director, Dave Cooling, said: "Our objective is to only source papers from sustainable well-managed forests and by attaining PEFC accreditation, this enables us to offer our customers even more environmental choices.

Customers are increasingly demanding products that offer an increased environmental feature and we want to provide those products to better service their requirements." The Howard Smith Paper Group is a UK supplier of recycled paper as well as stocking products with other environmental features.

Its environmental products portfolio includes grades, such as Regency, IQ, Consort, Greencoat and Think4.
