Paper Firm Explains Forest Stewardship

The issues surrounding Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation and what it means are now being explained by Howard Smith Paper Group with its new information resource.
The company said that its micro website provides information on the FSC, Chain of Custody, its Regency FSC paper and other environmental products stocked by Howard Smith Paper Howard Smith Paper added that it has also set up a service with its FSC printer partners to provide personalised FSC posters that contain key FSC information

Nuffield Press now has its own personalised versions of UK paper merchant, Howard Smith Paper's Sales Portfolio solution, that is said to bringing print and paper together.
To date, the company is working with 66 per cent of the FSC certified printers in the UK to have personalised posters produced.
The Regency FSC paper range became the first volume coated product to achieve FSC certification in the UK in June this year, said the company.
Howard Smith Paper attained FSC and Chain of Custody accreditation in October 2006.
Earlier this month it also attained Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) accreditation, enabling it to offer products that are certified under one or both of the certification systems.
The company is also ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited.
Howard Smith Paper Group's marketing and purchasing director, Dave Cooling, said: "Our aim is to support and work in a highly collaborative way with our key customers with as much information on FSC issues and our environmental ranges, so they can help their customers make informed decisions.".
