Paper Firm Strengthens Business
Development Team
Environmental expertise has been added to the strategic business development team of Howard Smith Paper Group with the appointment of Jonathan Tame.
Tame, formerly of the Waste Resources Action Programme, (WRAP) has joined the Howard Smith Paper Group with expertise in recycled papers and an understanding of the environmental market drivers, said the company Tame worked at WRAP since February 2005, where he developed knowledge and an understanding of recycled papers, together with the wider environmental issues facing customers and the paper industry, said Howard Smith Paper

In his role as WRAP's recycled paper advocacy team manager he and his colleagues influenced commitment to more than 140,000 tonnes of paper per annum with recovered fibre content, helping to promote the adoption of recycled paper across the UK.
With 20 years' direct experience in the printing and paper industry, Howard Smith said Tame's knowledge will be invaluable, as he has worked for paper mills and merchants, including Robert Horne and Beswick Paper, as well as for a commercial litho printer.
Howard Smith Paper Group marketing and purchasing director, Dave Cooling, commented: "What we are assembling here is a team of leading industry experts second to none.
Everyone in the industry knows Jonathan through his work with WRAP and his experience and knowledge will help provide our customers with a leading-edge service and ensure that we deliver to our customers not just paper but also our knowledge, training and support." Cooling added that more appointments to the strategic business development team are expected to be announced soon.
