Coated Paper Gains Forest Certification
The Sovereign range of papers will be Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) mixed sources certified from November 2.

By including FSC mixed sources within the Sovereign range, HSP believes it is also adhering to another of its environmental policy commitments by minimising the creation of waste and, wherever possible, establishing a use for such waste.
Howard Smith Paper Group's marketing and purchasing director, Dave Cooling, said: "We are delighted that Sovereign is now produced with FSC mixed sources.
That further demonstrates our environmental commitment and, more importantly, the commitment to our customers to provide a wide ranging choice of environmental grades to suit their needs." Sovereign has joined Howard Smith's Regency grade for environmental friendliness.
Regency became the first volume coated product to achieve FSC certification in the UK last June.
Howard Smith Paper attained FSC Chain of Custody accreditation in October 2006.
Last July it also attained Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) accreditation, adding to its environmental credentials, enabling it to offer products that are certified under one or both of the certification systems.
The company is also ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited.
