Harper Corporation of America has promoted Josephine 'Josie' Kirtz to the position of traffic coordinator.

In this capacity, Kirtz is responsible for directing the company's in-bound and out-bound freight and negotiating the best possible rates for Harper Corporation and its customers.

Kirtz said: "This is a responsibility that I take very seriously.

My new position involves elements like freight claims, freight bills, insurances and other rate-sensitive matters that affect our costs and those of our customers.

Anything that I can do to control costs for our customers makes a difference." Kirtz, who is promoted from the position of customer service representative for Harper Scientific, brings 10 years of experience in shipping and receiving to her new role.
