Colour Proofer Simulates Press To Optimise Process
Anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation's Harper Scientific division has developed an automated proofing system called the Sharper Color Proofer System.
Altrawash Blue has a pH of 11.8.
The new cleaner's surfactant is claimed to be environmentally friendly because it does not use petroleum distillates, or environmentally hazardous chemicals.
It is a biodegradable, low-VOC product and has low vapour pressure, added the company.
Available exclusively through Harperscientific the formula, which can be diluted with water, is sold in one-gallon, five-gallon, 30-gallon and 55-gallon containers.
Tony Donato, Harper Corporation's product development engineer, commented: "The fact that Altrawash Blue is perfectly safe for aluminium is particularly exciting.
Because aluminium is used in the construction of most wide-web and narrow-web anilox sleeves, as well as lightweight anilox rolls, a non-corrosive cleaner with a safe pH level is critical for protecting anilox investments.".
