Humaneyes Technologies is to launch its Lensfree lenticular technology on the stand of its UK distribution partner, leading systems integrator, Turning Point Innovation at Sign UK.

LensFreeTM technology is now incorporated in to the company's Printpro 2.0 software for digital flatbed UV wide format printing and it is enabling 3D effects and 2D animation to be printed directly on to glass or acrylic (plexiglas) That is said to help to remove the major traditional barriers to lenticular printing, such as the high cost of production in terms of purchasing lenticular lenses

Humaneyes' LensFreeTM technology is claimed to have the potential to transform the market and enable more companies to take advantage of a cost-effective method of special effects printing for backlit wide-format applications.

Turning Point Innovation will be the only exhibitor using Humaneyes' Lensfree printing technology at Sign UK.

Visitors to the stand will be able to see the Lensfree technology and Printpro 2.0 and Creative3D lenticular software demonstrated in conjunction with a Durst Rho 600 Pictor Flatbed UV inkjet printer, which will be used to output exciting, animated 3D lenticular imagery and prints.

Humaneyes' lenticular software - Printpro 2.0 for printers and Creative3D for designers - have been designed to offer easy-to-use lenticular 3D design and production tools for both the creative and professional printing communities.

Both products incorporate Humaneyes' new 2D to 3D conversion technology and time-line workflow system, providing the UK sign industry with lenticular tools for efficient, predictable and cost-effective 3D design and printing, said the company.

Ronen Sobel, vice president of graphic arts sales at Humaneyes Technologies, said: "Sign UK is a key event in the UK sign industry calendar and provides Humaneyes with a great opportunity to demonstrate to this market the real advantages of lenticular technology for a range of applications, including back-lit posters, signs, innovative POP displays and advertising hoardings." He added: "Our lenticular technologies, such as Lensfree, Printpro 2.0 and Creative3D are offering sign printers, advertising agencies and designers a real opportunity to incorporate new, unique, added-value services to their portfolioes and help them to play a part in creating exhilarating and innovative cross-media marketing and advertising programmes for clients." Humaneyes commented that Turning Point Innovation understands the opportunities lenticular presents sign printers and has been successful in educating the UK market about lenticular technology.

Sales growth has been strong over the past three years, and the United Kingdom is now its largest market outside the USA for lenticular 3D products.

Sobel explained: "We are looking forward to a vibrant and positive Sign UK to build on this success and ensure even greater numbers of UK sign makers are able to exploit this great technology.".
