HDP Introduces Smash-resistant Blanket

A compressible blanket designed to give consistent high quality print with excellent resistance to smashes has been introduced by Hydro-Dynamic Products.

A compressible blanket designed to give consistent high quality print with excellent resistance to smashes has been introduced by Hydro-Dynamic Products, the West Sussex-based consumables manufacturer.

Designated the 6604, the new blanket has an extra thick compressible layer and a specially constructed backing canvas to give extra stability.

The micro-ground compressible face has quick-release characteristics, provides excellent resistance to solvents and reduces ink piling and linting.

The extra thick compressible layer gives excellent smash resistance, minimises paper edge cutting and gives enhanced ink transfer for denser solids.

The canvas backing has anti-sinking properties and prevents stretching and delamination.

HDP says the 6604 provides premium quality performance at a competitive price and is suitable for use with a variety of stocks on modern high-speed presses.
