Dampening Solutions Filter Sales Beat Expectation
Sales of a new filtration unit are exceeding expectations as trials confirm a performance better than hoped for by consumables specialist Hydro-Dynamic Products (HDP).
Dampening Solution Filter Sells Strongly
Five months after the launch of a new dampening solution filtration system Hydro-Dynamic Products has recorded the 60th sale of its Envirofilter.
Claimed to be compact and easy to install, the Envirofilter is said to reduce waste dampening solution disposal costs by extending its life from one to three months.
It is also said to cut costly drain downs by up to four times and is equally efficient at maintaining water quality on presses using low or no alcohol solutions.
HDP managing director David Sheard said customer trials have shown that not only are solution costs more than halved, but conductivity is more consistent and contamination reduced by filtration down to one micron.
He said: "We are confident that the Envirofilter is the most reliable and cost-effective unit on the market.
Under normal conditions the initial cost of installing the unit can be recovered in just four to six months." Hydro-Dynamic Products claimed that the Envirofilter uses no additional power as it utilises the compressed air unit already installed on the printing press and it is maintenance free.
Filters can be changed whilst the press is in use.
One unit is sufficient to filter a 12-colour press and larger capacity units are available.
