IST Metz develops, produces and sells UV units for the environmentally friendly curing and drying of solvent-free colours, varnishes and silicones.
The UV units are used in the graphic arts industry, the automotive industry as well as for other industrial applications.
All components being part of its direct core competence are developed and produced within the group itself.
The intelligent coating of the UV reflectors is of special importance, which is why the takeover of VTD was logical for IST so it could increase its know-how in this key technology.
VTD has a staff of 65 employees and deals with the development, production and export of vacuum-coating units.
Owing to the takeover, in future it will have a high-performance partner with IST Metz at its side, said IST.
The two companies aim to expand VTD's markets by using IST's worldwide sales and distribution network.
