Ipex 2010 exhibition preparations begin
IIR Exhibitions has met with the Ipex Advisory Committee (IAC) to discuss new ideas for the next Ipex exhibition, which will be held from May 18 - May 25 2010.
Dedicated sector and regions days focus attention
Because the scope of Ipex 2006 is enormous, show organiser, IIR Exhibitions, has structured the exhibition in to industry sectors.
Its members are a collective of business leaders from different areas of the industry and representatives of the key trade associations.
The new members are Barry Hibbert of Polestar, Cicely Brown of the BPIF, Keith Dalton of Fuji, Maria Machera of Creo and John Dangelmaier of Print City.
Commenting on the appointments, exhibition director Trevor Crawford said: "We greatly value the IAC's unique sector knowledge and their role as a sounding board for our plans.
With the pace of change in the industry gathering momentum, regular sessions with this group help us to ensure that Ipex 2006 will be highly relevant and interesting to our global target audiences." The IAC is chaired by Laurence Roberts, managing director of Agfa UK and president of Ipex 2006.
He said: "We are fiercely protective of Ipex's reputation in the global graphic arts industry as a forum for sharing innovation, best practice and doing business." He added that without the backing of exhibitor and visitor groups, the event would simply not be a success.
"The IAC plays a critical role in this and will be instrumental in helping us to consolidate the strong start to the Ipex campaign made at Drupa earlier this year," commented Roberts.
