Printcity's Complete Workflows At Ipex 2006
Creative print products and new business ideas will be at the heart of Printcity's hall 1 of Ipex in Birmingham's NEC (UK) from April 4-11.
"It's the dominant characteristic that will embrace all aspects of the show.
It is essential that Ipex is seen to mirror the dynamics of such a forward-thinking, fast-moving industry.
We're very excited by the plans that are already well advanced - many of them utilising the same technologies that are helping to project the print, publishing and media sector as a major communications medium." The Innovation Feature will be an area designed to highlight technology and applications through a series of live and interactive debates, interviews with leading executives and video streams from pioneering print shops.
In addition, New Product Trails pinpointing the latest products and applications will underline the industry's own commitment to developing and improving its overall offer across all of the main categories.
Designed as a series of convenient hand-held guides for on-site reference, individual trails will also be published online and in either format they will be practical assistance in guiding visitors around the show.
There will also be a co-ordinated programme of practical and technology led training offered free of charge to all visitors.
The programme will be specifically designed to ensure that systems operarators are better equipped to get optimum performance out of new or existing equipment added IIR.
For the first time, the annually-held British Printing Industry Federation's BPIF Excellence Awards will run alongside Ipex in April 2006.
Cicley Brown, director of corporate and external affairs for the BPIF said: "Staging these awards alongside a prestigious event such as Ipex strongly endorses the programme's core objective in rewarding outstanding print businesses.
It also provides us with a rare opportunity to be able to show the rest of the printing world the very best the UK has to offer in terms of translating technology into powerful and effective information media.".
