Direct mail is a vast market, with mailing companies also focusing on print and packaging.

Direct mail is a vast market, with mailing companies also focusing on print and packaging.

At the same time printers are bringing mailing in-house and suppliers are jostling for pole position, according to Ipex 2006 organiser IIR Exhibitions.

IIR said it believes that the post-press halls at Ipex 2006 will see a boom in space occupied by mailroom machinery, including first-time exhibitors like Pitney Bowes, Bowe, PFE International and Satori Software and more familiar Ipex names like Buhrs, Kern, Sitma, KAS Paper, AMS PFS2, Lake Image, Axode and Domino.

With 1,900 square metres of stand space sold already, the product sector is already more than triple the size it was at Ipex 2002, added IIR.
