Exhibitors continue to sign up for Ipex 2010 show
Ipex 2010 is attracting previous and new exhibitors - a sign that companies view the event as a key part of their 2010 sales and marketing strategies.
That is according to Ipex 2010'w organiser, IIR Exhibitions, which said that the latest companies to confirm their attendance include printing press manufacturer KBA with a 777 planned square metre stand, Up Group, Optimus and Zechini.
IIR said that all major industry players, covering the complete print production process, are currently represented on the floorplan.
The number of new exhibitors, including Mitsubishi Paper, Oce, OKI Printing Solutions, Olympus, Ricoh, and Scodix reflects the status of Ipex as an international launch pad for the graphic arts industry.
To help its exhibitors during the current challenging global trading conditions, the Ipex organiser said it is putting in place some 'recession buster' initiatives to help keep operational costs down and to provide what it described as cost-effective accommodation during the show.
IIR added that its new performance index initiative consultancy service will help exhibitors to achieve a return on investment by identifying and prioritising their show objectives and evaluate how well they have been achieved by providing measurable results.
The company has also confirmed that it will re-introduce the 'Springboard' feature for small first-time exhibitors that have previously found the cost of exhibiting to be prohibitive.
Launched in 2006, the spur to attract small firms had come from visitors, added the company.
Trevor Crawford, IIR's Ipex 2010 event director, said: 'We're in constant dialogue with our exhibitors and understand that business is tough right now so we're trying to provide as much support as possible.
To date, we've successfully held exhibitor roadshows in The Netherlands, Germany and China with further plans to hold future events in France, Japan, Italy, the UK, the US and India.
These events are designed to update our exhibitors on our international reach and gain their support for our co-marketing strategy which has been extremely well received.
Ipex 2010's later dates in the calendar - which were traditionally during April - have been greeted enthusiastically by the industry, said IIR.
In addition, locating the exhibition solely within the new halls around the Atrium at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK, to mirror the complete print production process, means it is accessible via one main approach into the Atrium.
IIR believes that should simplify navigation and make it more likely that visitors will get to see all the companies they plan to.
Trevor Crawford explained: 'Ipex 2006 welcomed over 100,000 visitors over the course of the eight days.
Forty per cent of attendees came from overseas covering over 159 countries, which was more than any other graphic arts exhibition before.
I'm confident that with everything on offer at Ipex, we will build on that success.
