Chinese manufacturers confirm Ipex attendance

Thirty-five Chinese manufacturers and suppliers of printing equipment and systems have confirmed stand bookings at Ipex 2010, adding more than 1,600m2 of floor space to the event.

According to Ipex 2010 organiser, IIR Exhibitions, of all the Chinese manufacturers confirmed to be attending the show so far, joint venture companies Shanghai Electric Group and Goss International have secured the biggest areas with 1,000m2 of floor space.

They will use Ipex 2010 to promote the merged business.

Trevor Crawford, Ipex 2010 events director, said: 'For many Chinese manufacturers, Ipex 2010 will mark the second or third time they have exhibited at the show, which demonstrates the overall growth of their international graphic arts products.

'A number of Chinese suppliers that are less well known internationally will use Ipex 2010 as a global launch pad.

'We've already exceeded the number of exhibitors from China that participated in 2006, when Ipex was last staged, having 30 companies currently contracted compared to 27 in 2006,' he added.

The Ipex 2010 organisers said they are working in close partnership with the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC) to help exhibitors maximise their participation at the show.

Other Chinese companies that have already confirmed their participation include post-press systems manufacturer JMD Machinery with almost 170m2, as well as printing, packaging and consumables suppliers UP Group with 135m2.

Shanghai Eureka Machinery, Shanghai Hongjing Printing and Packaging Machinery, The Second Film Factory of Lucky Group, Shanghai Printyoung, Chengdu Xingraphics, Zhejing Zhengrun Machinery and Zhejiang Konita New Materials will also take part.

Ipex 2010 will take place from 18-25 May 2010 at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.
