The 9040 inkjet coder is available in three different printhead resolutions and it is claimed to be a true multihead, multijet inkjet coding system.
The automatic nozzle rinsing system with an interior cleaning cycle results in efficient shut downs and reliable start-ups and, according to Imaje, the Jet Speed Control ensures improved print quality and easy access to consumables, 'intuitive' icons and its menus lead to increased user friendliness and ease of use.
The company added that the introduction of the 9040S further extends the capability of the 9040 range of inkjet printers to cope with applications where speed is essential.
The Imaje 9040S can print two lines of seven-dot font at up to 2.7 metres per second.
The space between the two lines of print has been reduced to 1mm allowing for printing on products with limited space, such as cans, PET bottles and glass.
The 9040S is also available with IP65 rating making it suitable for humid and dusty environments, added Imaje.
