Eyecandyshop specialises in producing digital reproductions that require the highest possible levels of quality and attention to detail The company prints striking large format images on to a range of materials, including canvas, perspex and wallpaper

It offers a range of services offline as well as its on-line services through the company's two websites.

Its use of canvas supplied by Intelicoat has played an important role.

Eyecandyshop provides consumer and commercial customers with an on-line or off-line personalised service across a range of substrates as well as its studio gallery.

People can send their favourite photographs to Eyecandyshop, who scan, format and print the images in a range of sizes and styles.

It works across a multitude of industries from an international client base, from private clients through to corporate accounts.

The company also offers a consultancy service that allows corporate customers to create personalised works of art using their own imagery.

Alternatively, Eyecandyshop can create a theme from its image banks or source the imagery relevant to specific requirements.

For example, the company delivered a series of images for meeting rooms in the new head offices of Google in London.

Mark Blackburn of Eyecandyshop explained: "Google wanted to create a theme for their meeting rooms but wanted the images to relate to the Google brand.

We came up with a theme of rock music icons and subtly used the Google corporate colours and washed them through certain parts of the images.

For example we used an image of Mick Jagger wearing a pair of glasses which we simply turned into Google glasses.

This had the effect of delivering striking images throughout the building that were clearly produced exclusively for the company.

The solution provided exactly what Google was looking for." He continued.

"We also work with trade retail customers that use our services to deliver high quality portraits and images on canvas for commercial and personal use.

These can be special images of kids, pets, friends or more corporate images for offices and hotels.

We have also produced prints like this for high profile celebrities, including GMTV's Andrea Maflin." Blackburn said that the company is working in a market that has taken large format digital printing to a new level.

Standard large format printing no longer had the impact it once enjoyed but when he showed people what the company can do with an image on canvas, the impact returned.

In addition, Eycecandyshop on-line hosts a studio gallery which specialises in contemporary photography, illustrations and digital art.

The gallery includes established and up and coming photographers, including a collection by Chris Perrett, who was recently awarded the gold star award by Royal Horticultural Society for his floral photography.

The gallery was launched last December and it offers fine art prints on canvas, with all special editions limited to 99 per print.

Blackburn commented: "With all our services and initiatives we provide the very highest possible levels of quality for our customers.

To achieve this, we also have to work with best materials.

After extensive research and after sourcing and testing several canvasses from lots of companies we are confident we are now using use the industry's best canvas with the Intelicoat product." Intelicoat was recommended to Eyecandyshop by inkjet media and consumables supplier, CMYUK.

Blackburn explained: "We believe that as long as you deal with people you trust, you can let them make the right product decisions for the market application you are trying to fulfil.

We have always had an excellent relationship with CMYUK because it finds us the best products at the best prices for our requirements and we trust them to do that.

Certainly, they have not let us down with the Intelicoat canvas." Jon Price of CMYUK said: "It is great to work in close partnership with a company like Eyecandyshop that is trying to create a new market with existing technology.

The real challenge for us is to ensure that we have the right media substrates to meet the creative demands of Mark and his team.

The rapidly expanding fine art market is strategically important to us as a business and the relationship with Eyecandyshop has helped us develop our understanding of the market immensely.

We focus on the Intelicoat range, as we believe it is the best and our customers seem to agree." And Mark Blackburn concluded: "We have developed a business that is exploiting a technology that gives people products they can really savour and enjoy, which are all offered at affordable prices.

We can deliver this thanks to the knowledge, experience and skills we have in creating these images, combined with the quality and durability of the Intelicoat canvas.".
