North East (UK) graphic supplies firm Inkland notched up its 25th CTP installation at commercial printers Hillprint Media.
As a result, the dimensional stability of the blanket is improved, resulting in minimum elongation, fast relaxation with minimum loss of tension, minimum gauge loss and low sinking - lower than any available blanket on the market, claimed Inkland.
Printing properties are also improved with greater resistance to smashes due to more rubber content in its composite and higher longevity - 30 per cent to 40 per cent higher than traditional blankets with minimum loss of tension, added the company.
Roberts added: "It's rare to achieve such an improvement on the press by changing something as simple as your blankets but the results speak for themselves - to date we've a 100 per cent uptake from press trials.".
