Flatbed Inkjet Printer Generates New Business
The latest UK installation of an Inca Eagle H has gone to screen printer Polyprint Plastics, which says that the inkjet flatbed printer has transformed the company's workload.
The Spyder 150 has a 60" x 40" (1.52m x 1.016m) print area and a number of output modes, producing resolutions from 400 dots per inch (dpi) to 1,000dpi, with a maximum print area of 50 square metres an hour said Inca.
Aimed at companies looking to produce digital work the machine is designed for work requiring a closer viewing distance, such as lenticular or small graphics as well as point-of-sale and display work.
Jobs consisting of only one copy are cost effective on the Spyder 150, as well as longer production runs claimed Inca.
With all job information handled digitally, changes and updates can be made at the last minute, or even during the print run.
Those benefits are also likely to prove attractive in industrial printing, where products such as panels and displays can be printed efficiently believes Inca.
The new printer incorporates a range of technologies to provide bright colours and crisp resolution, including Sericol Sapphire inks and the latest inkjet heads to be released by US manufacturer Spectra.
The Spyder, which has a small footprint, has a fixed vacuum bed with the substrate is simply positioned against a set of register pins.
