Inca Digital has appointed Roger Walkley to the position of product manager for flatbed printers, who will be based at the company's headquarters in Cambridge (UK).

In his new role Walkley will spend time with both existing and potential customers to evaluate the requirements of the graphic arts marketplace.

His responsibilities will include analysing market data to help determine how Inca's products and services can be developed to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry.

He said: "I have worked in the ink jet printing industry for 20 years now and have watched Inca Digital grow over the last few years to become one of the most inspiring and driven companies trading in the UK today.

The outcome of mixing an open and supportive working culture with such an exciting technology means Inca Digital is a great place to work.

Inca has made a complete success out of what other companies have been trying to achieve in inkjet technology for the last 20 years and I am looking forward to being part of such a pioneering team." Walkley previous experience from earlier roles in the ink jet printing industry included nine years as director at inkjet supplier Peridot, a director at Videojet and Elmjet and five years at technology company Cambridge Consultants.

He has an HND in Physics and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Heather Kendle, marketing director for Inca, said: "Roger joins Inca's marketing department at a very exciting time, as our market share continues to increase following the introduction of the Spyder 320 and Columbia Turbo to the international graphic arts arena.

We look forward to working closely with him and supporting him in defining how Inca can develop the next generation of products and ensure our flagship systems remain the number one choice for printers across the globe.".
