Digital Flatbed Printers Get Direct US Support
Inca Digital has established a direct technical support group to provide service to Inca users in North America.
Inca Digital has established a direct technical support group to provide service to Inca users in North America.
The group provides first line support to Fujifilm Sericol, Inca's global distributor responsible for sales of Inca Columbia, Columbia Turbo and Spyder digital flatbed printers, although Inca Digital printers sold by Fujifilm Canada will continue to be serviced by that company.
The programme will provide equipment installation, servicing and on-site training provided directly by Inca personnel.
To support the new initiative, the company has opened a service office in the Chicago area, which will accommodate staff and an inventory of spare parts.
In the past, Inca provided back-up support to third party service engineers.
Now, in addition to direct service calls, the group provides technical support, servicing, upgrades and an immediate response to remote diagnostic calls, said the company.
Steve Lynn, North America service manager for Inca, remarked: "Inca printers are extremely reliable and every printer we have ever sold remains in operation today.
However, if a problem can't be resolved using our remote diagnostics, our field technicians are available to assist on-site, supported by three senior service engineers.
Our objective is to provide first class support and minimise any down press time." He added: "We can now even provide even faster access to parts and service to provide customers with heightened support.
This operation forms a foundation upon which we can provide direct support to customers throughout the Americas, with the full support of the Inca factory.
Inca Digital understands the value of direct, manufacturer-level support, in key markets.
We have planned and put in place strong procedures to help our customers as quickly as possible with installations, support or servicing." Inca DSG is based at sister company Screen USA premises in Illinois and uses its infrastructure and warehousing to offer a customer support system.
Additional engineers have been appointed to support the new programme and Inca's expanding customer base in North America.
