Merger Forms Largest UK Post-Press Kit

With a forecast turnover of GBP15 million Integra Graphics Machinery and Press and Bindery Systems are merging to create what is claimed to be one of the largest UK post-press distribution agencies.
The two businesses will keep their current names and will operate under the umbrella of parent IGM Group Headquarters of the new company will be at Integra's Alton offices

Integra International Graphics Machinery are the sole agents for Sitma polywrapping and paper-enclosing equipment, as well as Mariani palletisers in the UK and Ireland.
Commercial web post-press supplier Press and Bindery Systems is the UK distributor for Civiemme and RIMA-system stackers.
Integra commented that the aim of the merger is to capitalise on the synergy between the two companies and make the most of cross-selling opportunities to their respective customer bases, whilst combining its range of agencies in the post-press sector.
The merger will also centre on after-sales service with the combined businesses having eight engineers available to service customers throughout the UK, as well as spare parts facilities in the north and south, in Leeds and Alton, respectively.
Iain Buckham, chief executive of Integra, said: "Both companies bring different strengths to the party.
Press and Bindery, with its strong foothold in the commercial web market and Integra with a leading position in newspapers and direct mail." The new company will also be looking at widening its product portfolio and Buckham continued: "Our ultimate aim will be to provide the highest quality post-press machinery for high volume applications combined with the best after-sales customer service." David Spencer, managing director of Press and Bindery Systems, explained: "This merger creates a company with an impressive product portfolio, which is able to offer a variety of press and post-press systems across the major graphic arts markets.
Most importantly our market-leading products will be complemented by the necessary service back-up.
Obviously there is a benefit to both companies but also to our customers.".
