Independent Paper has launched a new generation of swatches with what it described as eye-catching designs aimed at making the ranges stand out to customers.

Independent, which is British owned and has four regional distribution centres, has come up with the new concept for swatches for its Angel range of paper and boards and for its pre-print Laser grades.

The new style swatches will gradually be rolled out for all of Independent's product ranges.

Paul Cassidy, Independent's product manager, said: "We intentionally wanted to steer away from the uniform style of many other swatches so we decided to relaunch our swatches with a design that would make them instantly recognisable as Independent Paper grades." The swatch for the Angel range of products, which includes white offset, white laid, tinted offset, white and tinted boards, shows a 'heavenly' blue and cloudy sky and has an 'angelic' cherub on the spine, said the company.

The swatch for the laser grades, which are supplied through Clairefontaine, is also blue with a cartoon laser gun and laser on the spine.

The laser grades range includes DCP, 2800 Laser, DCP Coated And DCP Ivory.
