Paper achieves forest certification
Independent Paper's Amadeus paper range has attained Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) scheme accreditation.
The fact that Independent Paper has achieved accreditation to both certification systems means that the company's customers can be assured that any paper bearing either certification mark has been sourced from sustainable and well-managed forests, added the company.
Paul Cassidy, Independent Paper's product manager, said: ""We feel that to have achieved accreditation to both schemes is an extremely important factor in today's evolving market place.
It is our responsibility to link the chain of certified grades from the manufacturers to the printers and build awareness of the PEFC and FSC standards for paper production." He added: "A lot of our target market of larger colour printers now have these certifications, so it is important that are customers, both present and future, know that we have attained these accreditations.".
