IIR Exhibitions, organisers of the Ipex event held every four years in the UK, has launched Ipex Digital CEE 2007 destined for Poland.
A dedicated digital print exhibition, Ipex Digital CEE 2007, will take place from November 6-8 2007 at the new Warsaw International Expocentre, Expo XXI in Warsaw.
The new event is designed to serve the central and eastern European region (CEE) and is the latest addition to IIR's expanding portfolio of print industry shows, which includes Ipex South Asia 2007 launched only a few weeks ago.
As a result, IIR Exhibitions said that it now manages the largest portfolio of print exhibitions, compared to any other organiser in the world today.
Supported b the Polish Chamber of Print (Polska Izba Druku), the Association of Screen and Digital Printers (Polskie Stowarzyszeni E Sitodruku i Druku Cyfrowego) and the Polish Direct Marketing Association (Stowarzyszenie Maketingu Bezposredniego), Ipex Digital CEE will be a showcase for the digital printing process, from conception to completion.
Its content will range from pre-press to digital presses, post-press and materials.
The event has been developed to support the fast expanding printing industry in central and eastern Europe.
IIR said that there is considerable interest and investment in printing technology in the region and a pressing need for an event that provides a comprehensive showcase for the latest digital hardware, software and consumables.
A pan-regional marketing campaign will target visitors with decision-making authority to visit the exhibition, free of charge, from across central and eastern Europe, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.
According to IIR, as well as targeting visitors from the print industry, Ipex Digital CEE will not only attract printers but also printers' customers.
The show organiser believes that print users are increasingly influential in the equipment purchasing decision process and the event will educate and inspire those professionals interested in furthering their knowledge about the capabilities and commercial benefits of digital printing.
The new event has the support of major digital print suppliers who recognise the importance an event based in the heart of central Europe, claimed IIR.
Herve Tessler, vice president, CIT for developing markets at Xerox Corporation, said: "For Xerox, Ipex Digital CEE is a significant opportunity to demonstrate our commitment and portfolio to the graphic arts and production print industry across central and eastern Europe.
At Ipex Digital CEE, Xerox aims to show its current and potential customers that having the right technology, right workflow and right business model can enable ultimate success and profitability in a very competitive, influential and growing marketplace." David Preskett, European marketing director of Canon Europe, commented: "Following an extremely successful Ipex in Birmingham in the UK, Canon Europe is extremely positive about the opportunity to promote how we can help businesses in the CEE region and assist them in seeing digital differently, whilst growing their businesses." IIR said tha the creative and cost-effective capabilities of short-run, variable data and personalised print will be a main focus of the show and, for those who have already adopted digital printing, it will be an opportunity to keep abreast of the latest developments in this fast moving industry.
Print users that visit will be inspired and educated about the flexibility of digital print and its ability to provide marketing products and increased response rates, added the company.
Working closely with many of the print publications and associations within the region, IIR believes that it will ensure that the event truly represents the digital print industry and meets the needs of its suppliers and customers.
IIR added that the event will include visitor features, case studies, presentations and workshops.
IIR also commented that interest for the event at this early stage has been extremely positive, with support from many international and central and eastern European suppliers.
