Poligrafico Roggero and Tortia, a graphic arts organisation, has installed a full-colour Infoprint 5000 inkjet printing system from Infoprint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh.

The Infoprint 5000 uses piezo-electric drop-on-demand inkjet printhead technology, making it suitable for Poligrafico Roggero and Tortia to produce transpromo output with relevant personalised marketing content.

Infoprint Solutions Company offers colour and monochrome transpromo integrated services for production and distributed markets.

The Infoprint Professional Services Team supported Poligrafico Roggero and Tortia in designing and delivering the Transpromo project, providing a system able to give Poligrafico's customers a competitive advantage, reinforce their brand, whilst offering the opportunity to sell via multi-channel marketing, added Infoprint.

The company said that the Infoprint 5000 produces colour output with variable data and competitive levels of speed, quality and price without the need of highly skilled operators.

Poligrafico Roggero and Tortia's managing director, Riccardo Pesce, commented : "Consumers responded positively to transpromo communications, because they are one-to-each and highly personalised, which is the ultimate proof that enterprises care about their end users.

ITo comply with local regulations, outsourcers and printers have to use output systems that re rich in functionality.

We believe transpromo is a new business opportunity for us, thanks to the Infoprint 5000.

Our relationship with Infoprint Solutions is a great step forward and we are satisfied to have selected Infoprint as our trusted partner." Moreno Tartaglini, the managing director of the Mediterranean region for Infoprint Solutions, said: "This confirms our vision: a colour letter with an attractive layout has an emotional impact stronger than an electronic communication.

Despite of all the paperless opportunities available today, printed communications will continue to exist.

It is up to us to provide our customers with new ideas to use paper in smart and cost effective ways." Poligrafico Roggero and Tortia serves enterprises across Italy and in France, working in partnership with PRT France, across vertical sectors that include financial services, insurance, utilities, governmental, non-profit, industrial, editorial and advertising.

In 2007 the company's turnover was around EUR15 million.
