Continuous Forms Printer's Personalised Output

UK direct communications company, Dsicmm, has installed the first Infoprint 5000 continuous forms printing system in the UK.

The Infoprint 5000 is claimed to provide Dsicmm's customers cost effective, high speed, high volume, personalised, full-colour printing.

Dsicmm is initially using the Infoprint 5000 for a statement production system for a financial institution as the firm increases the variability of the statements and pre-printed reports it produces.

Dynamically driven and created content is combined with fully-personalised colour A4 statement documents, added the company.

Infoprint Solutions believes that by making high volume, personalised applications affordable, the Infoprint 5000 provides a number of environmental benefits for Dsicmm, including a reduction in the number of printed pages, the introduction of recycled paper and reduced carbon footprint from the Infoprint 5000's low power consumption.

As fewer pages are printed for each customer, postage costs are also reduced, added the company.

Dave Reynolds, managing director of print services at Dsicmm, explained: "Until now it has been impossible to accomplish this size and speed of job in digital colour to the incredibly tight schedules that many financial institutions require.

The Infoprint 5000 was the only system currently available that can provide the quality and speed we require at the right price point.

I should also mention that we have been highly impressed with the level of service from the Infoprint team." He continued: "This addition to our portfolio is the latest stage in our regular investments to meet growing client needs.

It means we have the very latest technology in conventional printing, lithographic, cut sheet and high speed digital colour.

Indeed, some of our existing work is being migrated to the new system to further enhance the service our customers receive." The Infoprint 5000 will be integrated with a finishing system, including Hunkeler guillotine and unwinding equipment, an MBO folder and Hohner stitching unit.
