Jeco Plastic Products, a designer and manufacturer of plastic pallets and containers for the worldwide printing industry, is now offering RFID-Ready pallets in a variety of configurations.

Permanent RFID tagging can be accomplished by moulding passive RFID tags directly in to Jeco RFID-Ready pallets.

Warehouses using active RFID technologies can utilise the RFID-Ready pallets, which include a slot specifically to accept a tag, said Jeco.

Because the pallets are rotationally moulded of linear low density polyethylene, RFID slots can be designed to accept and protect costly RFID tags in any number of ways, added the company.

The RFID tag slots in Jeco pallets can be oriented in the mould to maximise readability and to protect the tag from damage associated with specific warehousing issues.

Jeco's chief executive officer, Craig Carson, commented: "Jeco RFID-Ready pallets provide a solution to problems associated with attaching and protecting expensive RFID tags in modern warehouses.

Jeco pallet designers are available to advise warehouse designers and make specific recommendations regarding the best way to take advantage of the latest technology.".
