Ruislip (UK) based Kall Kwik, the print design and digital specialist, is celebrating its 25th anniversary by its appearance in the finals of a top national business award backed by HSBC Bank.

Kall Kwik claims that many of its competitors on the high street are perceived as being only able to offer standard off the shelf services.

But its research told the company that its clients required individual treatment, based on an understanding of their business and needs.

As a result of listening to its clients, said Kall Kwik, it has re-branded its identity and now offers its customers a high-tech solution.

The company believes it provides customised services based on the belief that no two businesses are the same and that every client's needs differ.

It works closely with its clients, building strong relationships and adding tangible value to its customers' businesses.

Cathryn Hayes, HSBC's national franchise manager said: "We recognise the particular drive and ambition required to create a successful franchise.

Kall Kwik has shown those characteristics and demonstrated that the intensive marketing, training and operational support provided to its franchisees, together with an unswerving focus on the needs of its customers, is the secret of its success." Direct mail is Kall Kwik's proven method of communicating with its clients.

It developed a centralised direct marketing programme for its network of franchisees, which runs on a year-round basis.

More than 30% mail shots resulted in appointments with new or existing clients.

Kall Kwik estimates that the print on demand market place is vast and it is estimated to be worth more than ?1billion a year and growing.

The British Franchise Association's Franchisor of the Year Awards are being judged by a panel chaired by the association's president, Sir Bernard Ingham and will be presented at the Dorchester, Park Lane, in London on May 20.
