Kall Kwik, design, print and digital specialist based in Ruislip (UK) has been shortlisted as one of the country's top franchisors by The British Franchise Association after reaching the national finals in this year's franchisor of the year awards.
The Awards, sponsored by the Daily Express and HSBC, are designed to showcase Britain's best-performing franchisors in an industry worth an annual GBP 10 billion to the UK economy.
Companies entering the awards could nominate themselves in three categories, the others being the HSBC award for enterprise and Express Newspapers' brand builder of the year.
This year's theme for the top title - BFA Franchisor of the Year - is 'Support for Success', with companies having to demonstrate how they are delivering strength to their franchisee network through a continuing programme of help and advice.
Kall Kwik has been in business since 1978 and it now has 156 franchised centres, including four new start-ups scheduled for this year.
Franchisor turnover exceeds GBP 8.5 million and there is a claimed total network value of GBP 69.5 million.
Mike Hutter, managing director of Kall Kwik, said : "We are delighted to be shortlisted again, particularly this year when the theme is support for franchisees, as Kall Kwik UK's passion and purpose is making our centre owners successful." Director General of the BFA, Brian Smart, said: "The awards recognise the very best within our industry, those who constantly strive for excellence to achieve success both for themselves and their networks.
The quality of this year's entries was extremely high and everyone at Kall Kwik should be justly proud that the company has been named a national finalist in the 2005 awards." HSBC's national franchise manager, Cathryn Hayes, said: "Kall Kwik's achievements underline the many benefits franchising has to offer for those seeking to start up in business.
Franchisees have the advantage of joining a business network, which is not only tried and tested but which offers guidance and support, as well as having a well-established brand name behind it." Express Newspapers' advertising manager Jon Notley added : "Kall Kwik clearly demonstrates how a programme of support can drive a franchisee network forward and we look forward to sharing the winners' story with our family of over four million readers.".
