Kay-Dee unveils Kimoto Freejet 320 flatbed printer

A Kaye-Dee Marking Solutions product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Aug 25, 2008

Kaye-Dee has introduced the Kimoto Freejet 320 next-generation flatbed printer.

Offering far more flexibility to produce varied and high-quality prints than conventional printing techniques such as screen or pad (tampo) printing, the Freejet 320 uses and extended CMYKRB colour space with a resolution of up to 5,760dpi, allowing production of printed goods that was not possible before.

The system uses a solvent based pre-coating spray, plus a mild solvent ink and this combination creates a scratch and abrasive resistant layer allowing a wide field of applications including plastic, metal, wood, foam and acrylic boards, marble and stone.

A built-in material table can be adjusted in height and the motorised table will automatically detect the thickness of the substrate by using an optical sensor and, as the table does not move during printing, heavy pieces with a weight of up to 30kg can be printed.

Ideal for personalising many promotional items, including golf balls, rulers, lighters, pens and so on, and rigid substrates up to 120mm thick, with a maximum print size of A3+, the possibilities of creating new business opportunities are endless.

With simple operation and no RIP software necessary, the printer can be linked to a PC using an USB printer driver that allows the user to set important parameters such as print mode and printing resolution.

Preparing and printing images onto your products requires little set-up-time and can be achieved using many standard software applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator or Corel Draw, even Microsoft Publisher and Word.

Kaye-Dee also supplies a full range of consumables required for print operation.

Kaye-Dee's products can be seen at The Sign Show exhibition, 2-4 September at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, stand E4C.
