Cartamundi installs KBA Rapida 105 perfector press

Cartamundi, a producer of card products and a commercial packaging printer, has installed a customised KBA Rapida 105 five-over-five 41in (104cm) sheet-fed perfector press.
The Rapida 105 also has full ultraviolet capabilities, a coating and a board kit.

Cartamundi ordered the Rapida 105 perfector press for its new facility in Dallas, US, to fulfil its specialised manufacturing needs.
The company prints daily on a variety of substrates, which, in addition to paperboard, include APET, RPET, PET, PVC, PP, HDPE, cellulose acetate, styrene, foils and foil laminates.
According to KBA North America, the Rapida 105 five-over-five perfector press at Cartamundi provides the company with high-quality printing on two sides for productivity and efficiency with inline colour controls and automation, together with inline finishing.
The press is also said to provide all processes in fewer steps thanks to its one-pass configuration.
