K2 International, the UK flexographic press manufacturer, has won more new business in India after clinching another order for a 3 Series KDO machine.

The Worcestershire-based firm has just built a four-colour, 265mm narrow web press, equipped with three-die stations and K2's Fast Action anilox roller and print cylinder system, for a customer in Delhi.

The machine will be used to print a wide range of labels.

This latest order follows the delivery of K2's largest flexo press, which has just been installed at Renault Paper Products near Bombay.

The 10-colour, 3 Series 400mm web KDO machine is specially designed to produce a variety of printed security products, such as business forms, identification systems and tickets.

K2 said that it now plans to build on its success in the Indian market after exhibiting at the India Label Show in Delhi where a KDO four-colour machine demonstrated its capabilities.

Russell Oddy, K2's managing director, said: "Sales enquiries from India have been very strong lately and are beginning to match the levels of interest from the other parts of the world such as Eastern Europe and the Far East." In recent months, K2 has supplied machines from its printing and converting equipment range to customers in the UK, Netherlands, Lithuania and Vietnam.
