Konica Minolta Looks To Merge Printer
Businesses
The two parts of Konica Minolta's printing systems business could be integrated to build the strong brand image and awareness in the market and to enable continuous growth.
The manufacturer of digital multi-function printers and digital printers is seeking to unify strategy and marketing activities between KMBS and KMPS under one umbrella, to present one face with a common purpose and unite the local sales organisations and activities to make the sales channels stronger Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe (KMBS) and Konica Minolta Printing Solutions Europe (KMPS) have started discussions with both works councils about the intended integration of the organisations

The final decision of the integration is subject to consultation between KMPS management and KMPS's works council about restructuring and social matters.
Legally KMPS will be merged in to KMBS by asset deal and become KMBS's NL branch as of June 29.
Some of the common functions of both headquarters will be integrated and optimised to be more efficient and effective for customer satisfaction, said KMBS.
Subsidiaries of KMPS will be merged in to each subsidiary of KMBS in relevant countries from July to October.
Hideki Okamura, president of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, said: "The boundaries of MFP and printer/AIO industries are crossing over each other and mega-competition in this industry is heating up.
