Konica Minolta's Strategic Direction In New Hands

Steering the strategic direction of Konica Minolta Business Solutions (KMBS) and its document and imaging systems will be Jos Kelly, who has has joined the company's UK board.

The new director of business development, production and solutions was previously the head of the company's Production Print Division.

Kelly will report to Yuki Kobayashi, KMBS's managing director.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions' added that its increase in sales has seen the company's share of the market for true colour multifunctional devices grow to over a third, with a 34.9 per cent leading share, according to Infosource.

he company said that in his new role Kelly will be responsible for hardware and software applications, together with ensuring the delivery and implementation of Konica Minolta's systems to customers.

Konica Minolta claimed that over the past two years it has progressed and is able to meet all customer needs for document and imaging technology.

During that time the company formed the Professional Services and Solutions Group.

Jos Kelly commented: "The intention is to provide the company with a strategic roadmap for development and contemporary thinking to match our hardware range with the right software applications, as well as ensuring we provide optimum service to customers.

Manufacturing the best devices but leaving the customer to work out how to get the best from their investment is not enough any more.

By understanding our customer we can work in partnership with them to ensure they gain benefits for their business and can adopt new technologies to improve efficiency and, ultimately, profitability.".
