Konica Minolta Adds Wide Format Printers To Range

Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) has formed a partnership with KIP UK, a producer of wide format printing and image capture technology.

The company said that the partnership will enable Konica Minolta to offer customers a document imaging range extending from a desk-top printer to a high speed print production system, which can now include wide format KIP printers.

KIP UK is the British subsidiary of the Katsuragawa Corporation of Japan, which specialises in digital scanning and printing systems, particularly for wide format production, from engine and scanner production through to integrated software.

Konica Minolta said that KIP high definition print technology provides the ability to reproduce technical, engineering and architectural documents accurately at speeds up to 14 metres per minute.

KIP's latest wide format multi-function systems, such as the colour-enabled KIP3000, provide high definition mono copying, printing and colour scanning, together with colour copying to existing inkjet devices.

All KIP printing systems are also said to be 100 per cent toner efficient, negating the need to dispose of waste toner.
