Two Komori Presses To Increase Quality And Service
Two new Komori presses, a 10-colour Lithrone S29H Perfector and a five-colour Lithrone S29H, will help Matthews the Printers increase client service and quality when they are installed this summer.
"We operate B1 and B2 multi-colour presses and wanted to increase our B2 capabilities.
During fairly extensive research we examined presses from the leading manufacturers and the new Komori SPICA came out ahead in a number of areas," said Steffprint's managing director Michael Watson.
"The SPICA's quick make-ready and flexibility in allowing us to mix straight four-colour work with two-colour perfecting will be an important element in enabling us to provide customers with a wider range of print at competitive prices.
We are very quality driven at Steffprint and the print accuracy of the SPICA matches the high standards that we insist on." The company produces work for clients throughout the UK, with customers in the public services, education and direct mail.
Steffprint also handles a significant amount of trade work.
Watson added: "We've had continued growth and profitability throughout the last three years and now operate comprehensive pre-press, press and finishing facilities.
Our presses are in use around the clock and we expect the SPICA to operate double days from installation." As well as visiting Komori's Leeds showroom Michael Watson and his team saw the SPICA in operation at other printers.
"Komori gave an excellent demonstration but it is seeing the press in use in a working environment and speaking frankly to the minders that really gives you a true feel for a machine," said Watson. Request a free brochure from Komori UK ...
