5-Colour Lithrone Meets Fast Turn-Round Demand
Eastbourne-based Manor Creative has now commissioned a Komori five-colour Lithrone S40.
Rickards commented: "Komori's market in northern and eastern Europe has grown considerably over the last few years and I need to commit all of my time to manage the distribution network in the region.
Globally, our sales have grown 12 per cent and 25 per cent in Northern Europe this year.
Our B2 SPICA, B1 Lithrone LS40 offset press and System 38 Web are all performing well.
I have enjoyed my time at Komori UK enormously and will still be involved to some extent as a non-executive director." Neil Sutton succeeds Rickards as managing director of Komori UK.
He joined the company in 1996 and held increasingly senior positions before becoming sales director in 2004.
He said: "The UK print market is a challenging one but Komori maintains an enviable position as a leading supplier of B2 and B1 offset presses and web presses.
We continue to bring innovative presses to market and the new B2 Lithrone 29 series being launched at Ipex is generating considerable interest and will have a major impact on our business in the future." In addition to Neil Sutton, other Komori UK board directors include Brian Sims, who is promoted to technical and service director after four years managing the department and Phil Hayward, finance director.
