The Lithrone S429 replaces one of the four colour B2 Komoris.

The new press was chosen primarily for its high automation, unrivalled by any other manufacturer on the market, claimed Komori UK.

Print Run has invested in a top of the range fully automated model with features including in-line coating, transvertors, full automatic plate change, KHS and Komori's colour management system.

Print Run's managing director, Hugh Grennan, said: "The industry is getting more and more competitive to the extent that companies have to invest in high tech machinery.

The quality and automation of the new Komori could increase capacity by 25 per cent.

The transaction doesn't end when the press is delivered.

The after sale service is absolutely key to me.

Komori's service is the best I've come across, and the all round package I have been offered is excellent." And he added: "Any machine will have breakdown issues at some stage and like every printer we can't afford to be out of production for more than a couple of hours.

Print Run's recent investments include a new Horizon Stitch Liner and an upgrade of its CTP pre-press department means customers can continue to expect quality combined with extremely fast turn-around times, said the company.

The LS29 Komori technology will result in savings in terms of superior make ready speeds and a reduction in waste.

The Dublin printer offers a complete service from design and artwork to delivering the finished product and has recently upgraded its CTP pre-press system and finishing department.

The general commercial work printed by the company is high volume and high quality, with run lengths anywhere between 100 and 100,000 sheets.

Print Run's customers span the spectrum from end users to agencies to trade and they include financial and pharmaceutical institutions.

The company was founded 18 years ago by husband and wife Hugh and Zoe Grennan.
