5-Colour Lithrone Meets Fast Turn-Round Demand
Eastbourne-based Manor Creative has now commissioned a Komori five-colour Lithrone S40.
Since its launch in 2002, the Spica has earned a reputation as the most adaptable and capable press in its class and has now evolved with the Spoca 529P to enable printers of all sizes to offer added value products by sealing or printing special colours in the fifth unit.
In the five years following the launch of the half-size press, Komori said that more than 350 Spicas have been installed by users around the world.
For smaller print shops that have been handling mostly single-colour and two-colour work, the Spica is suitable for changning to four-colour, or five-colour printing.
According to the company, for medium-size printers, the Spica is a nimble and adaptable machine that is adept at meeting tight turn-around times when the work consists of many short to medium print runs of a variety of jobs.
Automation as standard includes tool free plate clamping (SAPC), automatic ink roller and blanket wash and fully-automatic change-over between straight printing and perfecting.
Impress Printers in Dewsbury (UK) installed its first Spica last year and the company's managing director, Abdulluh Yusuf, appreciates the support he received from Komori: "The Spica offered the best value for money on the market but it's the Komori people that really made the difference.
